Custom animations are a great way to explain concepts. (They can also be used by Marketing to promote a product.) Supported by professional voice talent, the visuals bring meaning to the spoken words so that the learner can move through the concept with ease.
360 degree exploration is a great way to learn more about an environment. For example, you might have the learner move (virtually) around a worksite to identify potential hazards, or they might move through the site to learn more about the location itself.
To do this, a camera is set up in the specific area/s and a sequence is filmed or photos are taken. Once the footage is ‘stitched’, hotspots are overlaid to enable interactivity.
Augmented reality brings learning into the real world…literally.
Using a smartphone, the learner can explore the environment to view overlaid information, videos, other media or interactivities.
When learning a system, we highly recommend a ‘guided simulation’ which, as the name suggests, walks the learner through the process, allowing them to ‘click through’ the screens (thereby increasing retention) while learning the relevant information in context.
Gamelets are a fun and interactive way to explore content and/or assess learning. They give the learner a task or ‘mission’ and show progress throughout the game. Rewards (for correct answers) and consequences (for incorrect answers) are directly related to the ‘mission’.
All questions are scenario based. When selecting an incorrect response, the learner will be presented with the real-life consequence for the behaviour selected. They will then be advised of the correct behaviour to ensure the gap in knowledge is closed.
Interactive scenarios use scenario-based learning to examine a process or behavior using virtual, interactive, problem-based contexts.
We consult with the Business to ensure any known BAU issues are incorporated into the response list. If selected, the specific issue is addressed through immediate feedback.
We all know that we need to be respectful of a learner’s time, so when the seat time is limited we need a solution that allows the learner to jump in and out of the training, without creating any gaps in learning.
A web-based design offers an excellent framework for complex training to house smaller learning bites. It gives the learner the freedom to complete topics and sub-topics in any order, according to their interests, while tracking completion along the way.
This open framework also becomes an excellent online resource, post training completion.

Elgrace is an approved NSW government supplier, located in Sydney, Australia.
With over 20 years’ experience in Learning and Development, we create award winning custom eLearning solutions, designed to meet your business objectives, using the latest innovation and technologies.
Take a moment to read how it all began.
Read morePrior to 2014, Elgrace was a professional services company where I, Melissa Malcolm (then Melissa Ellks), contracted to the client to design and build the eLearning. With my steady client base of repeat customers and positive reviews, I thought I had the perfect solution for my clients…but I was wrong.
With all my years in the Education industry, the instructional design component was a breeze. That is my skillset after all.
But, like many IDs operating in Australia, I was also required to do the build. As I am not an illustrator, I could not design custom illustrations, so would spend many hours looking for the right Shutterstock images.
As I am not a graphic designer, custom (themed) GUIs were not even a thought in my mind.
As I am not an expert technician in custom HTML and the like, my designs were limited by what I could build in the authoring tool my client preferred.
THEN, IN 2014, EVERYTHING CHANGED! In that year, I joined an eLearning company and saw what I had been missing out on.
By using a team of experts, I could design eLearnings and capitalise on the latest innovation and technologies.
I could have custom illustrations that told a better story.
I could have beautiful interfaces that set themselves apart from eLearnings of the past.
As a matter of fact, working with a team of experts resulted in several of my projects winning Platinum Awards at LearnX.
I am so pleased to say that Elgrace is now an eLearning company, not just a Professional Services supplier. Working with a team of experts, we build custom eLearning solutions that will best achieve your business objectives, using the latest innovation and technologies.
Our clients are giving such wonderful feedback which makes us especially proud to be a valued partner in their learning journey.
